Built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century, in northern England.

The wall stretches for 73 miles (117 kilometers) and was built to mark the northernmost border of the Roman Empire.

Its name is sometimes used to designate the border between Scotland and England, although the current border does not follow its course.

Many tourists are hiking there!
